DDA Doors and Security for Staff

Application Case Study: DDA Doors and Security for Staff

Automatic Doors

Client Issues:

Practice Managers are acting upon the legal requirement to provide reasonable access for people with disabilities.

In doing so they often find the incorporation of Automatic Doors into their key entry points to overcome one of the most inconvenient barriers to people with disabilities – manual doors.

The selection of the best Automatic Door type for the application is critical for accessibility, safety and cost management.

Security and staff protection must also be considered -Some locations cannot reasonably operate an “open door policy” without some form of identification.

Our Solution:

Meesons can offer over 20 years of combined experience in Automatic Doors and Access Control.

The client can choose from a full selection of Automatic Door types (swing, sliding, folding, bi-parting, low energy) and, if necessary, Access Controls to regulate entry.

We can analyse the type of user and required throughput to advise on the most appropriate and cost effective solution.

Many cases simply require “occasional” access via an Automatic Door, in which case we can specify our "Auto Assist" door which acts as a simple retrofit to the existing swing door. The door remains manual but can be operated as an Automatic Door by the push of a button by the user. Alternatively, an Access Control link can allow a reception operator to open the door automatically once identification has been secured.

Other applications require high aesthetic impact and a high volume of traffic to pass through. Again, our expertise and freedom to specify assures the client of the best possible range of options.
