The Lincoln, in Manchester, is a new Grade A office building in the heart of Manchester’s Central Business District. Set in the regenerated Lincoln Square, the Lincoln is a statement 6-storey office building which includes amenities such as a wellbeing suite and rooftop garden terrace. The Lincoln opened in Summer 2021 and has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Luxury aesthetics meets contemporary security.
The development of the Lincoln provides 102,000 sq. ft of high-quality office space in Manchester’s City Centre. The double-height reception is designed with high-quality materials to provide a luxurious contemporary feel. The large spacious reception includes business areas and a breakout lounge for both tenants and visitors to work and collaborate. To secure and control access to the building, Speed Gates were identified for installation in the reception prior to entering the lift lobby and main building access.

Creating a simple to manage entrance control solution.
As part of the Lincolns’ design the architect, 5plus architects, created a high-quality contemporary reception and required Speed Gates which could complement the look. Meesons installed 3 lanes of SG1000 Speed Gates and a Pass Gate alongside the main reception desk. In order to provide remote control access a touch control panel was installed at the reception desk to control the lanes and pass gate. The Pass Gate provide EA compliant wide access suitable for wheelchair access.
To complete the secure line to the lift lobby and main access to the building glass balustrade was installed. Maintaining the premium finish and complementing the colour scheme the Speed Gates, Pass Gate and balustrade posts were all finished in a Black RAL powder coating.

The stylish, minimal design of the SG1000 Speed Gates perfectly complements the reception area. The spacious double-height reception and wide use of glazing provide an open and welcoming feel to the building for its tenants and guests. The Lincoln is a great addition to Manchester’s Grade A office space at the heart of the regeneration of Lincoln Square.
